Kiddie Launch is located near the intersection of W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road and Kauffman Avenue and Route 444, making it extremely close and convenient to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
We have a group of caring staff members who come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wealth of experience. As your child moves from room to room, he or she will be able to meet and bond with a variety of amazing teachers. Starting with the infant room, you and your child will enjoy the festive decorations that change with holidays, the seasons, or just for fun. The teachers who care for the infants have a special way with children that is kind, nurturing, helpful, and just perfect for such young ones. Moving up to the toddler room at 18 months, your child will enjoy the stimulating atmosphere inside the room and on the toddler playground that sees lots of action when the weather cooperates! From the toddler room, your child moves up to the Kitten room at the age of 2 1/2, the Lamb room from 3 to 4, and then the pre-K room. Here you will see lots of busy activity, learning many new skills from excellent teachers, and, once again, plenty of time outside on the playground when the weather is nice. Finally, your child will be in the Kiddie Launch school-age room where they will enjoy a fun summer program! Our summer program goes somewhere different every day of the week! Swimming, bowling, skating, hiking, splash pad fun, parks, and one big end-of-summer trip. During the school year, your child will be in a structured and well-managed environment where getting homework done is important. In addition to these wonderful classrooms and activities, we do our best to provide healthy food for our Kiddie Launch children at all times while following state guidelines and keeping costs down.
How we began
In 1987, Garnett Weisenbarger founded Kiddie Launch Learning Centre in Fairborn, Ohio. Her love of children and hard-working attitude inspired her to open her very own day care center. Garnett loved her staff, students, and parents very much throughout her 25 years as owner of Kiddie Launch. Some of her favorite aspects of Kiddie Launch were the annual Easter egg hunt and the Fourth of July parade. In 2012, Garnett retired and passed on the daycare to her son, Chris, and his wife Katie. Chris enjoys working hands-on at the center; whether he is putting up festive decorations, maintaining the landscaping, or fixing something in a classroom, Chris is there to help! Katie is a full-time 7th grade teacher in a nearby district and values quality education immensely. Chris and Katie are also proud parents to Leo and Mitchell, both Kiddie Launch students. Pictured to the left is founder, Garnett, and her grandson, Leo. Garnett sadly passed away in September of 2014, but Kiddie Launch will proudly continue her legacy of caring for children for many years to come.
